I think Kellie P may end up on the short end of the stick with Caseys new song and Kenny already releasing his new single. She only got one ad today. She might although one add is still better then no adds. It might just be a slow climb for her. You know I listened to this song the other day and I thought it sounded really good. It is a lot better then many other country females on the radio currently that are enjoying more airplay then her.

There is no denying she sounds the best she ever has. The song is good but its more of one of those songs that will get more critical acclaim then radio play which doesnt sell. She should be higher then that by now. She only had a little over 300 spins and that included monitered and unmonitered.I just dont think people will get the song. She may wait till a press release. Never thought of that. I think Kellie P may end up on the short end of the stick with Caseys new song and Kenny already releasing his new single. She only got one ad today. WOW From jholmes on pulse

I agree, it's a very solid debut album. This one and Kip Moore's "Up All Night", in my opinion, are 2 of the most impressive debut albums I've heard in quite some time and, overall, are among the better albums I've purchased in the last couple of years.
And that says a lot--firstly, because I buy quite a bit of music, and second, because I didn't really care for either of their lead singles (especially didn't like/tired of Kip's "Somethin' 'Bout A Truck"). Casey's "Let's Don't Call It A Night" isn't a bad song, but for me, it was always just kinda 'there'--and it wound up being my least favorite song on his album. I am glad, though, that it was a big enough hit to get his foot in the door and get that album out there.

I just got the billboardbiz in my email. Kellie P actually lost audience and 3 spots. And she has two superstars that are going to go around her. Its not looking good for her.

I am so proud of Casey he has generated a bit of goodwill for himself. He just needs to get this song going so that people can start to listen to his album.

That doesn't sound to good. I think she deserves better as I said I think this song is better then a lot of others on the radio. But we all know radio isn't exactly fair, as you said this is properly the kind of song that is more likely to garner critical acclaim then a #1 on the charts.

Are yous talking about "100 Proof" or? I like this song and there's something very unique about her voice that intrigues me. THAT tends to get my attention like, with Casey, Adele, many others...
Do yous think the drama between Kellie and her mom helped/hurt/did nada for her career? j/curious.

Do yous think the drama between Kellie and her mom helped/hurt/did nada for her career? j/curious. I dont know what the story is about her mother, and I really dont care to know either, if I am being honest. She sounds great to me on this song, I have never liked another song from her. I think she has a combination of other issues, she was never able to really capitalize on her popularity when it was at its highest. She produced to much pop country at the wrong time, and now she has a more traditional sound when pop country is more popular. She might also have a problem with people taking her seriously as a recording artist. But it has at times been difficult for solo females artists in country and Kellie might end up as one of those casualties, even if she never really did much wrong.

Boudica just hit the the nail on the head. This album should of been her second album. Its hard to make such a drastic turn in your music. This album is always how I thought she should sound. Kellie was very young and green coming off of idol. Now she is married and more mature and wanting her sound to reflect that and she is having problems.

Someone posted over there they dont even remember him as a idol contestant. That is pretty cool because that means he is making progress and fans as just a artist.
