That is not good, I can understand their disappointment but that is bad behavior. And Eric Church only being "bummed" about the situation?
It is perhaps a good thing that Casey was the first opener here.

Just saw this... Eric Church cultivates that sort of mindset in some fans, with his "outlaw" < (my word) rep. I mean, would you see that happen at, say, a Kenny Chesney or Alan Jackson concert, for example? not to mention, Casey's. Glad as hell Casey performed early on and was (hopefully) far away from that mess, before it broke out. Morons

That face in that first picture lol.
I have Casey figured out. Acoustic gigs happen when you cant get the euipment there. Its either dont do a show or do the acoustic gig. Most of it is logistics. But this was probably what Dustin Lynch did too. This probably was a typical opening gigs.

Yes, it's got to be hard to get all of that equipment back and forth within such a short period of time!

BUFFALO - It took about 90 minutes into the show, but rain and cold weather wasn’t going to stop fans from batting beach balls back and forth in the crowd. An estimated 25,000 fans braved the rain and high winds and the time of their lives during WYRK’s Taste of Country that was held at Coca-Cola Field on Friday, June 1. Though heavy rains and a high wind warning forced the show to end before headliner Eric Church could take the stage, for the most part the show went on as planned. In fact word around the park before the show was that a lightning storm would hit around 8 p.m. that would require the field to be evacuated. One of the best things about Taste of Country is there is always at least one performer that comes out of no where with a surprise performance that makes a strong impression. This year that title went to Casey James. Making his name as an American Idol contestant I have to admit I didn’t know much about Casey James coming in, but I liked what I heard. James was slotted just enough time for three songs, opening up with the song “She’s Money” James won the fans over with his smooth voice and solid guitar work. Good things are coming Casey James way and I expect to see him back at Taste in the future with a bigger spot. www.metrowny.com/news/685-Taste_of_Country_a_success_despite_the_weather.html
