I dont know why but that makes me laugh 'crack me up ;D They look familiar. Ive seen them, or at least, the lady, at many concerts. I thought she was a relative for a while...

LOL What a small little gig Pretty strange gig in a parking bay. For sure. I know W. VA has areas that are hurtin' due to the economy so it was nice that Casey performed for free. Even so, it doesn't look like much of a turnout, at least from the pic. Could be wrong...Still gaining fans, Im guessin'

jacobfetty @jacobfetty @caseyejames great show in @visitspencerwv ! So... I googled Spencer, WV. Turns out that they have a population of about 2300, are the by far the biggest town for miles and miles around, and they only have two large paved areas, both parking lots. One of those looks to be for the school and this was probably in the other one (because, what if Casey says a bad word or something? Don't want to seem to be pushing that sort of thing on the kiddies). Casey's free concert in the first item featured on the town website. Given that the 2300 population surely includes very young children and the elderly, the turn-out looks pretty good, especially for a week night in a place where folks get up early in the morning. That's perhaps a quarter of the town standing there, probably including all the movers and shakers, in the nicest locale they had to offer. Casey seems to be playing a lot of these little gigs in West Virginia. Why he's working so hard to win them over I don't know -- maybe he wants to bring a little joy to the poorest area of the nation, or maybe he just likes it there because it's so pretty -- but I think it's sweet. If COAS propells Casey to the next level and he becomes a Big-Danged-Star, the folks of Spencer, West Virginia are gonna be able to look down their noses at all sorts of uppity city folk and say "We know. We've always known." How cool is that? In other good news, the local Tractor Supply is hiring.

Thanks for the research, I thought it was funny that the concert was held in a parking bay, but now it makes perfect sense. To be honest the crowd did look quite decent to me, I mean that picture is taken from very far, you cannot even see Casey on stage. It is nice that Casey is visiting the area so much and giving a free concert to a struggling community. He got a good reaction, I saw a few tweets of people who were very grateful that he went to Spencer. (Still having internet issues so I didn't post all of the comments). It doesn't sound like they have many artists who regularly come their way. Personally I think it is good of Casey to also do these sort of gigs I think people in the industry notice it and they will properly come to respect him more for it. He doesn't just do the nice gigs he also does the lower ranking ones well. And of course it is better to be out there doing something and playing for people, then to do nothing like Kris and Haley for example.

That got me thinking. It also makes you humble. It keeps you honest and normal and down to earth and makes you appreciate what you do have. To give back to to others is something we know Casey likes to do.
