Whiskey Lullaby is such a dark song. But their voices lend so well. Allisons voice makes it very haunting.

Thinking about Casey's enthusiasm about meeting Ricky Skaggs (and playing his mandolin!) makes me wonder if Casey'd ever play hardcore bluegrass on a later album...eventually featured with Ricky, of course, is where I was headed. What do you think? Also, Casey's interest in The Band Perry (would they be classified as bluegrass? help!), is it sheerly due to their beautiful sound or is there more to it, say, musically-speaking? (Can't see a feat. there

I would like to see Casey and Kieth Urban. Yes, I would like to see Casey open for Keith Urban or Taylor Swift. But those are from a marketing perspective. I have watched a bit of the Zack Brown band in concert, I think Casey would love to perform with these guys. They have a bit to much twang for my personal taste, but I think they are very similar to Casey actually. Other then that, a collaboration that I would really, really like would be with the Black Keys! Agree, Casey's last performance of Ive Got Mine, he was killin' it! That would be something to see, a collab w/The Keys So, Orianthi and Casey are still following each other? She is adorable and a heck of a guitar player. That would be fun, too So far Im diggin' all the suggestions, appreciate y'alls input!

Sometimes when I go on Caseys twitter I will see some of her tweets. she seems like such a nice and really down to earth girl. We generally are nice people (or I would like to think we are LOL). I don't necessarily follow her but I'd say she's one of our best imports to date.
Lol @ Boudica regarding duets. I can live with it as long as the duetees (term??) don't throw each other the look. Lady Antebellum did it on Idol & wished I didn't watch & just listened.

Oh oh oh how could I miss this? My personal demi-god Robert Plant and his Band of Joy brings their music in Nashville. I've got their Live from the Artists Den 2011 on DVD & how I love this man forever! The band features mandolin, guitar, accordion, pedal, lap steel guitar, and banjo. Whole enchilada of what you usually find in country. Casey James and Robert Plant? I'm already hyperventilating just thinking of it.

^^^Demigod, a perfect description. Been following him since Yardbirds, later saw him in concert with Jimmy Page (Led Zepellin) So, he is newly ensconced in Nashville, and/or performing there? ***salivating *** Geez, Buddy Guy is 74 years old, still tearing it up in the blues dept: He is the nicest, and hilarious! Really appreciative of blues artists, up-and-coming and established both

I'm greedy; my list is really long, but here's a few:
Old guys who write good songs -- Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, David Bowie, Sting Old dames who write good songs -- Loretta, Emmylou, Dolly, Tracy Chapman
Young dames who write good songs -- Adele, Gaga (no, I'm not kidding)

I have heard nothing but good things about RP and his Band of Joy. I'm thinking this would be absolutely awesome!

So, he is newly ensconced in Nashville, and/or performing there? Band of Joy has been a group since 1965 with Plant as one of orig members. They've changed line-ups about 4x, without Plant on 1977 but he revived the group and the name in 2010 for a concert tour of the United States and Europe. I think Plant and co. has toured on several locations but their main gig (or where the DVD was recorded) was in Nashville. 2010 line-up included Patty Griffin, and Elvis Costello appeared at times with them. What a full-house of amazing artists, ya think? By that I meant mushy exchange of glances or piercing stares through each other eyes. Those type of gimmickry. I guess it's how they connect so whatev. Duets are normally ok when both guys or both girls do it, but opposite sexes?? ...

Just wanna say - I'm starting to learn more about blues and country artists as I lurk/swung by boards. It's cool that my musical horizon is a bit expanding. Rock fans are snobs. I was. But I'll be a hypocrite if I say I didn't love Keb Mo's Am I Wrong or Amos Lee's Colours or Randy Houser's Boots on. I'm a tad metamorphosed LOL.
Keep it comin'

B B King is gonna be at the Orange County Fair in LA (technically, Costa Mesa). Wouldn't that be cool if Casey could hop back over from Las Vegas to LA and play there, too? (and meet BBK? ) :

After having to sit through 45 minutes of Orianthi @ more than one Glamnation tour let me tell you IMO she is horrid, great guitar but the stage presence of a pregnant ant. And her voice in person let's just say better she plays.
