Oh wow sounds like it was a silly gig for Casey. Love the line about the two drinks! Some people are just way to familiar even if had many drinks in me I would never do something like that so drinking isn't an excuse either. But it goes with the territory of becoming a celebrity, I ve seen it in action. It really wasn't a silly gig. It was Halloween. That girl was drunk...but she was cute & having fun, I was standing right next to her as well & I laughed. Casey didn't seem to take offense to it at all. He actually said he didn't feel right about marrying a girl that was drunk....made it seem like he meant that not for his sake but for hers. Wants her to be sober for such a big decision (LOL...I mean, obviously, it wasn't a real offer on either side of the equation). I was at Fat Cat's 2 nights before in Modesto and there was just as much drunkeness at Ladie's Night Out as at the Howl-O-Ween Show. It's a party, it's a bar...which is where the majority of his gigs are. Seeing drunks & giggly girls is nothing new to him. He's used to it and I don't think he felt bad about having to play this gig, or that it was somehow beneath him in any way, shape or form. Just my opinion. The bunch in Modesto where really rowdy, it sounded like a fun party. I am nowhere near these events so the only picture I am getting is from what other people are describing, writing and saying. Casey is used to these situations, so no real biggie. I regularly indulge in some heavy clubing and partying myself, so... Thanks for sharing your experience of the evening, and welcome to the forum, I hope we will see you post more.

Casey has often referenced his time spent in bars paying his "dues" as a necessary evil < my words. He may be use to it but he just might long for the day when he's no longer confronted by over-the-top inappropriate displays (ass-in-the-air) once he's finally "paid his dues." It is what it is, but that doesn't mean we all don't want to see the day where Casey is appreciated by an audience whose attention is front-and-center with little-to-no unnecessary distractions.

I've seen just as much drunkeness and booty shaking at a Kenny Chesny, Keith Urban et al concert. It doesn't end (I don't think) as they become more famous. Just happens in a bigger venue with more people doing it.

My son is here for a visit, and has reminded me re the evolution of what is now considered "acceptable behavior." I miss the days of rockin' out to favorite bands, in cutoff jeans and bikini tops, high on mari....oops;) j/k... 'a helluva night "solving the world problems" now off to get some well-deserved zzzZs. ("how'd he get so smart?" **scratch head, fluff pillow**)

Forgot to mention, watched a pre-Halloween Bill Maher show on HBO (anyone catch it? a fan? , and he did a segment called "Slutty Halloween Costumes" which was hilarious AND made me feel a little less out-of-touch with the times:)
