I believe it'll be 2 songs as noted , likely his current on the radio and something to appreciate the history of the place as he's debuting there for the first time , maybe an old time song from Merle or George Jones or something . I was just gonna ask and that makes sense. I'll hafta check back on recent performances to see what they've done. Will get backj.... |

Grand ol opry isnt what a lot of people think. yes it has steep tradition but artist who dont even have labels play there all the time. And even some new artists do duets. That would be cool if he got to do like go rest high on the mountain with Vince. Or Eliza Jane.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up; it's enough that they'll be appearing on the same stage on the same night. Still... either GRHOTM or Eliza Jane would be wonderful beyond words, but I think my favorite would be Amie -- Gill was lead singer for PPL. But there's a lot to choose from when you're talking Vince Gill, and most of it pretty wonderful. Pocket Full of Gold would be another amazing choice. ETA: Just realized VG was not the original lead for Amie, so scratch that one.  Still plenty to choose from. |

That would be one wish fulfilled from my 2012 predictions:D Sounds like plenty of possibilities at the Opry compared to, say, awards shows, for sure!

So many of the artists that perform there will use the band. Cant wait to see. I really hope they televise this tuesday. But I think GAC televises the Saturday show not th friday night one
