I was searching on BMI Repertoire and found some interesting stuff :
- songs listed from the first era ( DRIVE ,LET S DON T CALL IT A NIGHT ,LOVE THE WAY YOU MISS ME ,THIS COULD TAKE ALL NIGHT ,WAY TOO LONG )
- I found a song I'm not sure about but I think it's added recently probably a while ago it's called "Where I am From" written by Micheal Shawn Delaney , Jimmy Yeary ( Jake Owen's Anywhere With You and Lee Brice's I Drive Your Truck ) .
- Casey's publishing company is EMI Blackwood Music ( EMI Publishing ) which is owned by Sony , the biggest publishing company in the world .

Yup! nothing new on both BMI and ASCAP , aside from "Where I am From" .

Yup! nothing new on both BMI and ASCAP , aside from "Where I am From" . And I dont like that title, it will just be another small town song. When I see the title it immediately makes me think of "Where I come from". People are bored with these types of songs, it has to be great if you want to get somewhere with that theme. Of course Casey did "Need Some Texas", but that just wasn't very good. So lets just leave the small town life.

Ahh! so we finally have some more info. with Jayce Hein, Kim Tribble, Steve Pasch & Thomas Tillman the writers of "Woman's Touch" , also worth mentioning that Hein is the co-writer of Aldean's Fly Over States along with another familiar name Micheal Delaney who co-wrote "Where I Am From" with Casey and Jimmy Yeary ( see the post above ) .

Dying to hear what you think!!! Especially on "Fallin' Too Hard"!!!! Michelle you were wonderfull at giving us all the latest tidbits we needed , don't worry about that I listened to them last night and had to again now to give a better opinion as I can First thing you notice is that the lyrics are more mature than the previous era plus a big growth on melodies , they're more hooky let's start with Woman's Touch , this song has all what DMUMM missed at least for me , it's all on there and as previously posted it should sound better on production it might work for a single if the production sped up a little like the original demo , I will like it even more , the annoying talking on the video was a major disturb . A fun summer upbeat song , it's That Girl , I like it , it's a single material , I think people will like it , so is radio , at the same time I think it's one of these songs that has a high burn out rate aka a not memorable hit , but it's a definite hit material but probably something the general public won't remember as his stamp hit in the future , if you know what I mean . I like it , and it will definitely work for radio , so who cares about my opinion The same with She's My Girl , single material I like it , modern Country sound , very Aldean-ish ( In fact , the recent material all leans to that sound ) Run Away has a potential too, I know it's early but that song might work really well if they sped it up more and make it a fast track even the phrasing too , in the vein of GoodBye Earl by the Dixie Chicks , that one might work in favor and make it a sing along fun upbeat tongue in cheek song . ( <<< A girl can dream ) Falling Too Hard I like it , it might have some cheesy lyrics for some but it's your country album track , something you won't skip , they might work it better and make it more interesting in the near future , we shall see . Breaking Through The Blue , I like it much , it's like an Eric Church track which I like , I think they can do wonders with it on the production ( <<< Jay Joyce is needed on here please ) I forgot about Can't Give Up , but then went back and watched the video , sound promising but couldn't heard a thing only the beat , will save my final judgement untl a better version surfaces up soon hopefully . All in all, I like everything I've heard so far , much better than the last era of course . I think with these 7 new songs Casey is testing a new direction and sound and not really a debut single off the sophomore , it's more about finding a theme for the album and general sound , and from those 7 songs so far that sound is more in between Eric Church and Aldean of course with Casey's own personal Texan touch on it , me likes it . . I'm so excited for what's next

Well, I love everything you have to say. I really like "That Girl" because it is a lot more uptempo and rockin' than the others. I have a fear that Casey will make the same mistake of having 1-2 too many slow songs on the CD so I hope it makes the cut. "Breakin' Through the Blue" did not do much for me at first, but I am now intrigued by it. I think (ironically) that this could end up being a break through type of song for Casey. His first #1 hit that will give him a lot of song writing cred. (it he wrote it) Woman's Touch is a no brainer. I think it was Bigmjfan that said a strong female backup singer could take it to the next level. I agree with that as well as speeding it up just a tad. (I hate how they slowed down "Undone" on the CD. He was playing it a lot faster live and they ruined one of my favorite songs) Run Away is just blech to me compared to the others. It definitely needs SOMETHING to make it stand out. I hope we hear more new songs as time goes on. I am dying to know who he plans to co-produce with!!!! Is there even a chance he will go back to Chris Lindsey??? Please say no!!! Great Review, MeMe!!!!!!

I'm so excited for what's next A Women's Touch and DMUMM doesn't have anything in common at all. If you said that a Women's Touch and LDCIAN then I would agree. I didn't think about a Women's Touch as a single at first bu if you look around some artist have had some good hits with ballads recently. "Wanted" being a good example. Ballads in country is not such a big issue as in other genres. If the ballad is good then the song could do really well, and believe a Women's Touch is pretty good. I think She's my girl might have the best lyrics, it is s shame someone didn't record it at Billy Bobs. That Girl is a pretty fun tune. Well, I love everything you have to say. I really like "That Girl" because it is a lot more uptempo and rockin' than the others. I have a fear that Casey will make the same mistake of having 1-2 too many slow songs on the CD so I hope it makes the cut. Is there even a chance he will go back to Chris Lindsey??? Please say no!!! Great Review, MeMe!!!!!! I am with you on Run Away, it is not that I dislike it. But it sounds exactly like any other pop country song that is currently being played on the radio, I have the same issues with Falling too hard, but I like Falling to hard more and it is more catchy for me then Run Away. But then perhaps that means that these songs could do reasonably well on radio, since there are already many other similar songs that does reasonably well on radio. But I highly doubt these song will ever be break out hits. Breaking through the blue is interesting or let me say the melody and chorus are very, very strong. The lyrics are a little to inspirational for me personally, which tends to border dangerously on the generic side. If they somehow changed some of the lyrics to make it an inspirational song after a breakup then it would have been perfect. If I had to count the inspirational songs that I really like it would not fill out one hand. In fact the only two I can think of that I actually like is, Its a Beautiful Day from U2 and Basket case from Greenday (which properly is more like an inspirational song). So the fact that I like this one so much means it is pretty good. Songs with ohhh hymns in them are usually very catchy and they usually do well. But what is also interesting is that Casey sings this in a different tone of voice, has anyone noticed this? And I also agree about there being to many slow songs on the last album, they even slowed down some of the faster song like Drive a little bit. This next album needs to seriously pick up the pace.

Yes ballads arent an issue if they have some pace and great lyrics. Saying that A womans touch could be a breakout hit but I wouldnt lead it out as the first song from a new album.

I was about to comment about the whole ballad debut album in my original review but somehow missed it , anyway, I think the new material is more upbeat which is encouraging . I'd also like to hear a better video of She's My Girl . As for Run Away, I've said it\s not perfect but there is something about it with the right production they might do wonders .
