Although , I don't listen that much to his AI tracks these days b/c I listen to his new stuff more . Lol me too! However I was watching the top 12 tonight and once again I just loved it! Originally when I first saw it, it was only the second time that I have seen Casey. I first saw him doing I dont need no doctor in Hollywood and I really liked it. The second performance I saw was on the top 12 night because I didn't really watch American Idol at the time. Seeing it again on TV tonight was nice! I actually like the Studio version of Blue Skies believe it or not it is one of my favorites from Idol. I've heard it two or three times and I remember it sounded amazing, eventhough I cant really stand that type of music. Burnthis, I Don't Wanna Be is one of my top 10 favorite covers of his! He tore it up! Having only seen it recently on TV for the first time all I can say is, maaannnn what was wrong with those idot judges? Okay perhaps some of the lower notes wasn't perfect, but it was still a great performance! I would really like to see Casey do this song again because now that I have really seen Casey in action, I am pretty certain he could kill that song (lower notes and all).

Not that I didnt think I dont wanna be was good but I understood where Kara was coming from with her comments. I dont think that song was really who Casey was as an artist. Thats where the rockstar comments came from and why she said he was a rockstar when he sang Its All Over Now. That song was more of him.

Even though I think that Casey didn't deserve all the harsh words & negativity about that song because he clearly nailed it , But I much prefer All Over Now . I just love that song It's classic southern rock song with twangy country & has soul & blues .

Yeah, she called him a "rock star" then chose Daughters for his final song Forever grateful she and Posh got Casey through the first round, but I don't think she is a good judge of who Casey was or is. However, I do agree Its All Over Now is him, BUT I think I Dont Wanna Be is, too. Fits him like a glove!

I have all his performaces on my dvr in the bedroom except for a couple and that performance I hardly ever watch. I dont think he connected with the song because it really wasnt him. Not that he didnt sing it well or anything.

I agree it is a Southern rock song afterall, and towards the end of the song you can really see him getting into it. He was obviously enjoying himself, after that performance he never really went for it again on the show like he did that time. Alex Lambert performed just before Casey and the judges give him tongue bath for a very meh performance but with Casey they just went in for the kill. I have all his performaces on my dvr in the bedroom except for a couple and that performance I hardly ever watch. I dont think he connected with the song because it really wasnt him. Not that he didnt sing it well or anything. I dont know personally I dont think Casey will sing songs that isn't "him". The first time I heard So Sweet I thought the song wasn't him, but now I think it is just part of what he does. A bit different but still him.

Can't wait for Casey to settle into Undone. That song, the lyrics, are really cool. Not many have discussed this song much, it seems.
