[Meems Wide Awake]

There are some differences between Mediabase & Nielsen BDS ( Billboard ) , first is the panel : Nielsen BDS has 128 monitored radio stations on its panel while on Mediabase , they're 135 stations . they're almost the same stations except maybe 15 or more . the panel is always subject to change , most recently it was only 131 stations & added another 4 so it's now 135 monitored stations .
the other thing is the way of ranking the songs , on Nielsen BDS they rank the songs based only on the audience impressions . while with Mediabase they have a system based on points , points = spins + audience impressions , other factors on the ppoints is if you get spins from top market like Dallas you'll get more points than the same numbers of spins from another small market station . also the timing of spins like you'll get more points from spins during the prime time ( mid day ) way more than spins over the mid night . so it's kinda tricky & manupelative!

I used to beable to see the entire mediabase chart. I mean like the top 200. Is there someplace we can see the entire chart.

only top50 or top60 . sometimes they post the entire top100 or 200 on Pulse .

That sucks. I can remember being able to see every song that got airplay whether it was one spin or 3000.

I just created an account with Mediabase. Haven't got the time to play around (it's sooo hard to catch up as of late, too many Casey-things going on) but I hope I get something out of it. Plus of course this board has sufficient information already.

Mediabase updates its charts after 3:30 AM Pacific time ( 1:30 PM here ) . it'll be interesting .
