You could be right about untitled. I think and hope they kept it stripped down. Now this would be a good song acoustic. They should keep it simple like the house that built me.
Your also so right about the good life having a Kieth Urban feel which is a good thing especially for radio.

He is properly the perfect one for Casey's album and he will keeps things simple when necessary. Thinking about this I am actually excited now! ;D I have a feeling the country fans would like the Good Life, and I think that is type of theme Casey's album will be about.

It could work really well! Although I hope Casey's song is faster then that one. I think the drums in The Good Life will also be pivotal to the songs.

Yep the drums really stick out when he did it with the band. Plus a man that plays the banjo like a guitar is hot. lol
I am excited to really see what they pick for a second single. If they pick a slow or mid tempo it could be a huge mistake but I have faith

All I know is I keep jamming to the good life.It totally has a urban vibe I have liked the song from the first time I have heard it. I hope we will see Casey doing it with the whole band again. His first attempt wasn't really good, but he obviously didn't have enough time to really practice it with the band and to make it work. But understandably, I dont think this is properly going to be a song that all Casey fans will love, or what I mean is it will properly not be at the top of people's favorite list, but it is something that I think could go over very well on radio. Keith Urban writes really good songs, I hope he will write with Casey one day soon. But I am sorry he doesn't have a good voice, Casey's voice is so much more interesting and better.

That would be cool if Casey could write with him one day. I totally agree this would probably go over very well at radio. For some reason I didnt pay very close attention to this song until I heard it with the whole band.

If they pick a slow or mid tempo it could be a huge mistake but I have faith This really makes me wonder how well Casey does play the banjo, I wish one of his family members could tell us or a video pops up or something. But he should properly be good at it in theory, going by his guitar skills. Darn now I actually really want to see Casey play the banjo. It will be a summer release so I hope they just go flat out uptempo, Casey has been singing Drive on every single show, so my guess is it will be Drive. But then again it could also be The Good Life. Do you think She's Money stands a chance?

I love shes money but not sure. It sounds a little dated.
Another thing that is interesting is that one song that is showing up on bmi that Casey wrote with the warren brothers also. I wonder if that song is so good they were like it is making the album and that is why it is on there.

She's Money is okay I like it well enough but it not a great song, or I dont know if I would use it as a single. The other day I heard a song that sounded just like She's Money on the radio, it was so similar at the beginning at first I thought damn how is Casey's song playing here? The guitar playing was so similar to Casey and it sounded just like Casey's blue strat! The voice was also gritty, but more gritty then Casey. But the catch is it was played on rock radio. I am still mad at myself that I couldn't stick around to hear who it was. It is still bothering me, and I still haven't figured it out. Interesting about bmi, well Casey did write Drive with them. Perhaps they have another great uptempo song? That would be interesting, I hope that is the case.

The results of the poll about people's favorite original: I dont mean to be nasty but this information is irrelevant at this stage. Casey has changed up so many of these songs. As it goes for these polls I think people just vote for the flavor of the month. The songs that have remained relatively high those are the ones that people really like. But of course it is all very interesting. I would bet if this poll was taken tomorrow Untitled would come out on top. Do people really still think So Sweet is such a good song after hearing Untitled? I dont think So Sweet will make the album. But then again I am obviously very biased. Need Some Texas is also another one that has fallen quickly by the way side, when Casey didn't play it that often. As for Hold On I ve said enough about that song previously. But look at Done Made Up My Mind and Show Me A Bridge, those songs have stuck around during the test of time. And I bet if we did the poll tomorrow Drive would be much higher. I am feeling a bit sad about Bulletproof, I think it is actually a very good song and it might sound quite interesting on the radio, but it seems like the path of the song has dried up. Im a little slow on the uptake so bear with me So, it's a given this poll is waaay outdated. I was one who voted for So Sweet and now it's like . Adorable, but can't hold a candle to so many others that have come after it. SOO agree about Bulletproof - it rocks (!!) IMO, it's up there with Drive! Casey appears to be getting edgier with all his songs which has kicked up my interest level substantially! I think even Need Some Texas could be HOT with more edge; always felt Casey held back on it. Could be really sexy.

My guess is Drive, The Good Life and the Untitled song. [...] As I said everyone is expecting Drive, and I hope it is the next single, but for some reason I wouldn't be surprised to see The Good Life as the next single. I have a feeling The Good Life could be title track and theme of Casey's album. Both would be good for summer, but of course I think Drive is more special. The Good Life is my least favorite of them all (17). Funny how tastes differ. Yep, and I would have agreed with you up until recently. At first it was a bit too saccharine for my taste but, again, since Casey has added an edge, that is, put more emotion & guitar "drive" into it it has done a "180" on my perspective. Still respect where you're coming from, e.g., Never Walk Away not my cuppa tea yet others a-DORE it.

I think we will have enough uptempo. I consider the good life uptempo. Its hard with a acoustic performance to know how much tempo a song will have. Maybe he has more we havent heard because he has done so many one man acoustic shows he never got the chance to play them. I actually think untitled will have some tempo to it and wont be as slow. Its funny after hearing untitled at how elementery so sweet lyrically is.Untitled actually sounds like a grown man wrote it. Casey has uptempo songs but the key is "good" uptempo songs to choose from. As I said I think the Good Life is actually a good choice, it has a bit of a Keith Urban feel to it. And I think it would actually be much better with a studio production. But some of the others like Need Some Texas and even She's Money, I dont know if those are good enough to be considered as singles. Bulletproof is actually good but I dont know if it will make the album, it also has a very distinct sound. I dont know right now it feels to me that there isn't enough good uptempo songs. As I said Done Made Up My Mind is good, but it is a good rock song, so they will not use it. As for Untitled you are right about the grown up lyrics, but evenso I actually dont think there is anything to special about the lyrics of the song. The appeal of the song is that it is super catchy and the melody and tone of the songs really brings out the emotion and longing in Casey's voice, which pulls you in, Casey sells the song if someone else did it, it might not be good. The song for me isn't so much about the lyrics at all, it more about the feeling the song evokes. And that is also why I am apprehensive about the studio production the song might loose its appeal in studio and if you dont actually see Casey doing it. I don't understand the reasoning behind not using DMUMM because it's a rock song. You mean, as a single or considered an uptempo song? Cuz I definitely would classify it as uptempo - yum.. She's Money? Kinda leaves me...flat. It could be a rockin' song but it's not quite. It's one that never evolved at the same level of others - it could, but not as it stands so far, for me. Who knows? Studio production could change all these songs for the better (Gawd help me, not for the worst )

If they pick a slow or mid tempo it could be a huge mistake but I have faith "..man that plays the banjo like a guitar..." YUM! Agree re choosing a slow-to-midtempo song, especially after LDCIAN; and, me, too, I have faith. Casey seems so pumped about the album, that says a lot to me about the thought that has gone into it
