I think it is a great borderline ballad mid tempo song that is very radio friendly. I think so too and it has a couple of guitar solos. I'd like to see him get noticed for his guitar skills this time around. Obviously all the hardcore fans know him for it, but the general country music fan is probably unaware... I can see the chorus being very anthemic. I like the way it builds.

When I first read it was a ballad, I wasn't too excited if I had to be honest. It took me a while but I ve finally had the time to listen to the song (I am going to scout for more videos), and I actually like it. It is more like a rock ballad, I could get behind that! It is better then what I was expecting to find. I guess I was to skeptical when I saw the words ballad. lol
The song seems to have some good highs and lows, or fast and slow places, and tune seems to be catchy enough. But this is also not really the type of song Casey usually goes for. This is more of a Daughtry rock ballad type of song. Some of the notes might still needs some work, but I think Casey could work it out as he performs the song more, just like he did for COAS. In any event a recorded single will sound right, and that is mostly what people would hear, so I dont really see it as any major concern.
Are there any ballads currently charting or where there any ballads recently? With a ballad it could be tricky, it could either do very well, or very badly.

Here is a link to a pretty good version of "Fall Apart". I think there have been some disappointments for Casey from the 1st era to the delay in getting this one going. I am SO very happy for him if this ends up being the single since he has said that this is his favorite of the new songs he has got his hands on. And it is totally him! www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rOGS3sGnZ8&list=PLbkWl7QyUzYmqpy3BnnbG1s-THSP-em6a Boudica, come out of hiding a little bit more often!!!! We miss you! You guys are always the kindest! I think I was trying to stay away from Casey's new music in order to be more objective about what he produces but it has taken sooo long. Much longer then what I was expecting. lol

I think these new, songs are more casey then the last record. Will the song be able to make do anything with the crowded charts and the holidays. I don't know but we will see.

Here is the most amazing vid of Casey announcing the single the night before the Opry. Finally, he seems ELATED!!! Many of my friends have reached out recently to tell me he just doesn't seem happy. Who would be with all of these delays. I heard him say this is his FAVORITE. The intro of the song and all of his talking is pure Casey. Also, please listen to the back up vocal. Before it was a blend of Dino/Blake or who ever after Blake got the boot from Casey for being an ass. Casey and Dino are FANTASTIC on their own!!! It has been a LONG time since I have seen as intense of a performance from Casey. Sure he is always doing the guitar face, etc, but they attacked this vocal and just, well everything! Sorry for the fangirling, this is just so awesome..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=7O2BpyCqpDg&feature=youtu.be

Thanks again!
Yes that was a better version. It is a catchy song, the chorus already stays with me.
Sounds like you have some more personal information. Interesting that you say that Casey hasn't looked that happy, I hope the record label is actually really backing this song and giving it their full support. I didn't know Blake was fired, but he did always have a bit of a look of an ass. I am glad Dino is still there, he looks like a good guy and you are right they sound good together. This was nice intense performance.

I ve listened to a few songs now, and yes it does sound more like Casey. These songs have more grit, which is something that was a bit lacking previously even the song songs have more umphh to them, I just hope they keep the grit in the recordings as well. I saw you guys didn't like living or dead, but have to say I actually kind of enjoyed it. Not for a single, but I just liked it, it remind me a bit of the Black Keys.

Living or Dying isn't my favorite but it will be a good one to hear live as well as Devil down. Another reason I think they sound so good on the video I posted is because the new guitarist, Kyle Daniels is a lead guitar caliber guy. So not he has two lead guitars. Kyle really adds a lot to the sound of the song. I don't really have any inside information on Casey, but I have a couple of friends who fly around quite a bit to catch a LOT of his shows. It's been mentioned more than once by more than one person about him not seeming his normal happy self. One of them has contact with Bryan Frasher occasionally and he has ensured her that Sony is 100% behind Casey. It seems to me like a timing issue with Colombia given all they have had going on with Tyler Farr and Chase Rice. The chart has been really crowded and I'm sure they are looking for the right timing in order to give the song the best chance. I really wish he could land the Clear Channel deal!!! Or "On the Verge" so he can get a boost in airplay out of the gates.
