I ve listened to a few songs now, and yes it does sound more like Casey. These songs have more grit, which is something that was a bit lacking previously even the song songs have more umphh to them, I just hope they keep the grit in the recordings as well. I saw you guys didn't like living or dead, but have to say I actually kind of enjoyed it. Not for a single, but I just liked it, it remind me a bit of the Black Keys. Living or Dying isn't my favorite but it will be a good one to hear live as well as Devil down. Another reason I think they sound so good on the video I posted is because the new guitarist, Kyle Daniels is a lead guitar caliber guy. So not he has two lead guitars. Kyle really adds a lot to the sound of the song. I don't really have any inside information on Casey, but I have a couple of friends who fly around quite a bit to catch a LOT of his shows. It's been mentioned more than once by more than one person about him not seeming his normal happy self. One of them has contact with Bryan Frasher occasionally and he has ensured her that Sony is 100% behind Casey. It seems to me like a timing issue with Colombia given all they have had going on with Tyler Farr and Chase Rice. The chart has been really crowded and I'm sure they are looking for the right timing in order to give the song the best chance. I really wish he could land the Clear Channel deal!!! Or "On the Verge" so he can get a boost in airplay out of the gates. I still have to listen to Devil Down (the name is interesting), and I ve only listened to these songs once, so my impressions could change. But I dont really want to listen to the songs too much right now. You may just end up liking something and then it doesn't appear on album. It would have been awesome if Casey could get a Clear Channel deal, but of course there is no way in hell that it would happen. It would have been perfect if they could have worked this song like they did with COAS, getting a lot of adds out of the gate. But I also dont see that happening, Casey has been away for to long. This will properly have to build up slowly. It is good to hear that Casey is still on good terms with Columbia, of course I believe this will also properly be his last chance, so I hope they are really working hard.

Casey didn't actually say anything about a date, for all we know this can still take another month. But I hope we will see something. At the Opry performance he said "very very soon". But many things have been said by him and his camp over the last 6 months. None of which ended up being true. I hope it's for real this time.

I don't think casey is eligible for the clear channel on the verge artist. They seem to be picking artists who are on their debut single.

No he has been around a long time. Recent Sam hunt and chase Bryant are the new artists who got it. This program is new.

Ok so I stand corrected. Craig did get it and so did Dustin lynch. I Singh think they got all the airplay like they do now.

I kind of like giving a new artist this opportunity. Your almost guaranteed to debut in the top 40. I don't like how they are chosen and how it can get political.

These type of things will always end up being too political. With the way things generally go for Casey I unfortunately dont see something like this happening for him.

Windmills tweets the demo of how many miles the songwriter did. I really like it but it seems really pop. It will be interesting to see what casey does with it.

I am seeing tweets that the single will be released in two weeks. But of course I dont know what that means. Perhaps we will only see an add date then.

I do agree if it is up on All Access then it will be believable. It is strange how this other band announced that the single will be out. Did help with the writing of the song or something?

It is strange how this other band announced that the single will be out. Did help with the writing of the song or something? Yes. We Are Kingston is a duo and they wrote thesong. Casey possibly has a co-write on this. I know they have written together. Just not sure if this is one of those songs. So I guess WAK had a show last night and told the crowd about the drop date. They probably played it and the announcement was part of the intro to the song. I'm sure it's a pretty big deal for them to have their song released to country radio by an artist on a major label.
