I watched the video for Mr. Bartender the othr day and the guy has no personality. Casey is so far ahead of even this guy. Compare the two and you can see who has the it factor. Not to worried about Caseys videos because even the new fans probably arent thinking to go look for videos of these shows. When he has a actual video out then the numbers wil matter. I have yet to see his video on either channel just on their online sites Oh okay I see so has he made a video? Or are they showing a live performance of his? But yes that would then make sense why he has the youtube numbers then. I think the guy is properly a talented songwriter and he has a good voice. He does traditional country he has a different appeal then Casey has. Personally I dont know if he got mass market appeal, I think Casey has much more potential in that department. I just find it interesting to look at another new artist who started the same time as Casey and who is on the same label. In all honesty if we are going for traditional country acts I would rather see someone like this guy succeed then Scotty for example. Not that I have anything against Scotty I quite like his maturity actually. But he has still got years ahead of him, this guy has been working at it for a while now, so in a sense I think he would be more deserving. But of course that is not always how it works. Of course Casey and this guy will properly share some of the same audience since they are both country acts, but generally people dont just listen to one musician, if like someone's music you will buy it whether you already have 10 country CD at home or not. I want to add also , it's very clear the first thing new fans of Casey do is googling his name , immediately after Casey's Sugarland tour started google has started suggesting other top searches like " Casey James Facebook " ; " Casey James Twitter " ; Casey James Sugarland Tour " or " Casey James Sugarland " ; or even " Casey James New Music " his site & wiki are always at the top of search's results , his wiki numbers increased by 1000% & his Twitter followers & FB likes increased pretty much ! off course these things don't count always but it's good to have interest ! I've noticed always that all the new fans post on his FB after one of his concerts ( recently with that guy from NM ) . Interesting about the wiki number, that is properly the most obvious place to look if you are looking for information about someone. Or at least that is what I sometimes do.

Casey's management is doing good job with the gigs so far. I suppose that is their main job and properly negotiating a good position for him within his label. Sony is certainly giving Casey time or they are taking their time, I wouldn't judge their support of Casey yet until I see them really pushing Casey's single. True! & all great points! Speaking of gigs I know the whole opening for Sugarland is a big deal and a good opportunity for Casey. But from what I have read and seen I dont know if Sugarland's audience is really such a good fit for Casey. Casey has gotten a better response from that opening he did at the Kenny Chesney concert for example. So I hope they can perhaps line up some other big acts for which Casey could open. What are the chances of Casey opening for say the Zack Brown band? Good points! but Sugarland tend to skew young demo , even though they have fans from all over the ages! but young demo is important to move sales ( Read the Chris Young article the other page from this thread ) . I think the reaction for Casey was improving due to Casey's improving skills on each show with Sugarland which it's what he stated several times! I think that's true , you can see he got better reaction from the last shows with them , & I think it will be clear with the coming 4 shows with them . As for Zac Brown , theyre still mid act like Sugarland in terms of touring even though they're so popular , they just finished some opening shows for Kenny Chesney's Stadiums tour & now they're on their solo tour . Sugarland tour will come to end on this coming October , it'll be interesting to see on what kind of shows Casey will be opening at the end of this year / early next year to promote the single along with radio rounds . of course for the album it'll be more organized tour stops & much more from these ones . Hmm interesting there is not that many releases scheduled for October - as of yet. For now it looks like a good time for Casey, September is so full! There are definitely a few interesting releases a few popular oldies. The dates are for upcoming album releases! in general , what is important are the Country releases b/c those are the ones what they count for Casey's label when they determine a date , of course the single factor is a big one . here are singles releases for the coming few weeks : 7/18 CRAIG MORGAN This Ole Boy Black River DARREN WARREN Cowboy Up And Party Down NuCorp KRISTIN CHENOWETH I Want Somebody Sony Masterworks/CO5 LEANN RIMES Give Curb TAYLOR SWIFT Sparks Fly Big Machine 7/25 BLAKE SHELTON God Gave Me You Warner Bros./WMN ERIC PASLAY Never Really Wanted EMI Nashville MARTINA MCBRIDE I'm Gonna Love You Through It Republic Nashville MONTGOMERY GENTRY Where I Come From Average Joe's SONIA LEIGH My Name Is Money Southern Ground/Bigger Picture 8/1 No Going for Adds for this Week

It might make a big difference. Well see soon enough only 3 days! Opening acts tend to bring in a different demo then the main acts. Thats also what the main acts want. That article about Chris young pointed out Casey will need a younger demo. Its good that you open for soemone who is a lot different

When I get home I will post the video for Mr bartender. Yes it is a actual video but boring at crap. lol
If Casey manages to get radio excited about his music there is no stopping him because everything else is there.

Week Ending 6/5 Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder sees his bare-bones "Ukulele Songs" album arrive at No. 4 with 71,000 -- marking the first top 10 solo record for the rock icon. He previously charted on his own with the "Into the Wild" soundtrack, which debuted and peaked at No. 11 in 2007 off a 39,000 start. You pretty are the great musical source! Stoked to see Eddie still making it on US charts. The past two PJ albums didn't exactly favoured US charts but they were critically acclaimed none the less. Backspacer still became platinum in Oz though. I bought Eddie's Ukelele during his March gig here. Simple production but his lyrics were powerful. I no longer hear the angst in his voice (which I loved him for) but remained a fan for his more mature soulful pieces.

^^ thanx! true! Pink is so popular in Aus. too ( even though she's pretty popular in US , but she made a huge success in Aus. ) . Y'all might be surprised about this little fact , Eddie's album is listed as a Country album in Aus. & opened at #1 on the Country albums chart during the first week .

Ahhhh! I can't wait for a sexy video of Let's Don't Call It A Night ( or other similar song ) Be careful what you wish for
Can he do sexy alone? Like only with his guitar, in-the-moment scenes with his eyes closed, lazy teasing smile and whatnot. No opposite sex around needed, cos it is distracting in all levels.
(Nope, i won't admit to being jealous. Neverrr bahaha)
Seriously, I hope the single's something that will make a statement. Few other people, whether we like it not, still sees Casey purely as an eyecandy. If his team can get away with the prettiness/sexiness concept, at least for his 1st MV, I think it's cool. Hope his 1st single or MV is something that will represent him musically.

I was about to ask from my previous post if Vedder's solo music is being played on US country stations. His current sound definitely fits the country format.
Shame shame shame on me cos you know it and I don't. I gotta tune in to Australian country now. I tried once and heard Carrie U. And I was like... ok maybe next time when Casey's single's out. Hahaha

I agree with yuor first post!
As for Eddie : No , he doesn't get country radio play , because his music is marketed in the US as Rock .
