;D Your thoughts at the moment Nice! How about that Gokey interview. Lol lmfao! That one was hilarious!! who cares about your "cause" if you're a carpetbagger! seriously , if that tells something it will be that he doesn't know & care about the history , richness & styles of the genre / market that pays your bills! It's really disappointing , it's like confirms what some "doubters" about him! what he said in that interview is like what fans inside the "bubble" would say! not from American Idol alum. LOL

Gokey? I think that there is a kernel of truth in what he said (was he possibly quoted out of context?). I see how a singer like Scotty McCreery entering the market may hurt Danny's credibility as a country artist and chances of getting air-play because mainstream country PTB don't take kindly to others - especially - AI finalists, deciding to "go country" when they obviously come from a different musical background and lack a core Country sensibility. Crystal Bowersox also falls into this category.
Until Casey James music is charting in the Country market, I'm going to assume that as likable and talented and country-looking as he is, that he may not be welcomed with open arms by your Paisley-Lambert-Chesney "New Traditional" fans and radio programmers. They accepted Taylor Swift because she parked herself on Music Row, writing Country songs, since she was 14 and now pulls a much younger market to radio. And Carrie because she's an Okie (=Country). The market is fickle and I'm prepared for a back-lash where Casey's music is concerned unless the production process yields an end-product that sounds real "country" which is possible. There's only so many programming slots for new music to be aired and Country radio can't afford for a listener to tune-in, hear "blues rock" and change the channel.

Hmm think it is very hard to be quoted out of context with those statements. It is a silly thing to say out loud even if it is the truth and even if you are thinking it. It is not very PR savy. But then again I find it amusing when people really speak their mind. I dont really care one way or the other. When it comes to Casey we just have to wait and see. To a certain extend I dont really think it is up to him. He needs real support from Sony. We have now already heard some of the songs and it seems like the fans are happy with the song. There is atleast one or two that you can really like, since they all so different. The fact is if you compare it to other music currently on the radio it isn't really worse then anything else out there. So by that equation it is suppose to do alright. But radio of course doesn't really work that way. I think as a new artist especially you need your record label to open doors for you. In my opinion if Sony is really, really invested in Casey they will make sure country radio play his songs. I think that is what it is all about.

Any thoughts about David Cook's new single? Hate to weigh in after just one listen, but my initial take is -- love his voice, not that impressed with the song.

Royal Wedding It would have been a lot more romantic if they hadn't been living together for the last ten years. But kudos to Catherine on her simple veil -- it made the hats of the Royal Hangers On look doubly ridiculous. Those hats are the sartorial equivalent of Arnold Horschak raising his hand.

Awww I loved the Royal Wedding. I read the lip readers interpretation of what William was saying to Kate. He was so caring and sweet to her. He really loves her and she him.
