As for my rant it might be a long one, so be prepared!
No one will properly have a clue what I am talking about, but that is part of the fun, because you dont have to be diplomatic. I have raging now about this subject for 3 days long.
The main issue surrounding my frustration is basically this:
This magazine CLAIMS to be the most respected motorsport magazine in the business. Every article they write about Kimi is not worth the paper it is written on, it is not even fit for toilet paper. I just almost cant stand it anymore, every couple of weeks they make headlines and try sell magazines by printing more crap about Kimi. They deliver tabloid journalism with sensational tabloid headlines. If they were actually a tabloid I wouldn't have minded, but the fact that they call themselves the most reliable source in business is just plain pathetic.
They never really have a clue what Kimi wants to do in the future (they have no special sources about him like they claim), all their claims and articles about the subject the last two years have been wrong time and time again. They make up and invent stories every few months, which usually ends in a mini fiasco.
Last time they were running headlines for weeks on end claiming Kimi was going to Renault, they quoted the team manager of Renault for weeks, were he said he cant decide if they really want Kimi they have lots of other options, they would have think real hard about it ext, (the idiot had new soundbites every single day), his attitude might not work with the team ext. ext.
This is an insult to Kimi, Renault is a midfield to lower order team, they only have drivers with zero talent, and big budgets.
Kimi has only driven for top teams. (But what this manager actually wanted was for one of his other drivers to pay more money to the team, he got his money in the end).
Everyone knew the story was complete nonsense, so after weeks of printing this nonsense as headline news, Kimi finally got fed up with it, and he released a statement that he would never in his life drive for Renault and that they must stop using his name for publicity.
Then everyone acted all surprised that he would be mad about getting insulted for weeks on end, why would he get mad about it?
Now they have Kimi on the cover again and with loads of articles full of crap, they do an article about Kimi's F1 career. Of course they dont ask the opinion of people who have actually worked with Kimi while he was in F1, no, no, no the only person who's opinion they ask is that Renault team manager's opinion.
It is just so completely idiotic it is a complete joke. This would almost be the same as writing a piece about Casey and asking only Micheal Slezak's opinion of him.
Other then that they claim to report all types of motorsport but they write crap about rally. They claim Kimi is turning his back on rally (he has never said anything of the sort) because this has been a very bad year for. WTF??!!!
Which again is utter nonsense. Many other news papers and experts have have nominated Kimi as one of the best drivers this season, he is one of only 3 (out of something like 35) drivers who has scored points in every since rally so far.
They build a whole a article on the basis that Kimi has performed badly this year in WRC, and they decide he must now want to return to "real" track racing. They take Finnish articles and translate them incorrectly on purpose to support their claims. Unfortunately for them we have loads of Finnish fans who always translates these articles for us, so we know they are translating them incorrectly. Of course they never ask statements of Kimi himself or his managers.
And of course every time Kimi doesn't return to F1 after a series their useless own imaginary speculation and tabloid articles, they just create new articles which says that Kimi cant decide what he wants to do with his future and that he is unmotivated, which results in even more crapy headlines like these:
All of these article are actually even in the same edition this time! He is desparate to get back into F1 and track racing in their one articles and in their other article they say he is too unmotivated.
What the hell, it is like make up your mind? You cant be desperate and unmotivated at the same time. Atleast try to be consistant when you are bashing someone and dont make it so transparent!
It gets so irretating seeing this kind of crap, they are conducting a witchhunt against Kimi. Many people know what they are writing is crap but there is also people who believe them "because they are so trustworthy and respectable". They just cant stand the fact that a world champion would dare to leave the greatness that is F1 before his time is up, and that he choice another from of racing above F1, now they are trying to punish him for it.
Sometimes I just despise the media, I wish they would just leave the guy alone, he never says anything against anyone else yet they are always out to nail him. It is exactly part of this nonsense that Kimi left F1 in the first place, it is all just manipulation, power, money and politics.
