Ughhh!!! Bobby Bones! Pimping Drake White on his iHeart Syndicated Show this morning. I'll bet $20 that Drake gets the next On The Verge stint, virtually guaranteeing at least a top 15 hit. I am sure Casey is in the running for this along with Mickey Guyton, Cam, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, Ashley Monroe, Striking Matches, Jana and others. But this is the 2nd hint I have seen that it will be Drake White.
Not that I don't think Casey can get a hit on his own, but this program has really kick started a lot of careers! Anyone and everyone trying to break out would want On The Verge! It takes a song from what could be a 6-9 month chart run to closer to a 4-6 month chart run, a higher peak on the chart and gets the album out that much faster.

I hope Casey can sign up to BMLG soon. Proper promotion and publicity on a national level also more mainstream appeal, I mean look at ZBB , they're all over the place even dominating Rock radio.

Maybe a last moment announcement ? Anything can happen with Casey. Ya. There are other venues in town that will have shows, etc. But I am surprised that he isn't performing on any of the official CMA Fest stages.

These artists are driving me nuts! Lee Brice is in his first bulletless week and his next single is already dropping today. ZBB did the same thing. I wish there was a rule that you at least had to wait until the week after your previous song goes recurrent. This just allows very little space on the chart for newcomers to break out.
I realize that all the artists have been doing this and want to ride all of their momentum, but how about a little build up and anticipation in between singles. ugh.

The worst is ZBB replacing themselves :/

Seriously???!!!! This irritates be beyond belief. FINALLY a big artist has a break between albums (after 7 singles from the last one). Then country radio takes it upon itself to catapult one of his NON SINGLES that is NOT being promoted to them to #27 on Mediabase. Shoot me now! 27 -1 LUKE BRYAN Games 2053 -4 322 -3 15.526 +0.030 Seriously? 15.526 million in AI? ?? I know that if they didn't play this, they would probably give a lot of this AI to other LB songs, but this is seriously WRONG!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOO many artists are trying to break through. Why not give them a chance? ? I HATE COUNTRY RADIO!!!!!!!

Being a die hard radio watcher, and listening to a lot of formats, especially pop. I can assure you that Country is the worst format.

The whole Luke bryan thing is just odd. But they have to be doing it with a push by his team.

RFTD:
Tyler Farr's new single "Withdrawals" will be send to radio tomorrow. He is #1 this week with "A Guy Walks into a Bar" and it will not go recurrent until June 8. This is really annoying. There is just no room for a new artist when the more established ones just replace themselves on the chart every time. Ugh. AND, Sony will jump right back in with promo for Tyler. I'm sure they will be right on cue in tonight's Aircheck Weekly with the obligatory "Thank you Country Radio" ad with the link to the new single. Double Ugh!
All that being said, Tyler's song has pretty much the same exact storyline as Casey's. It's what happens after a hard break up. Casey falls apart. Tyler is going through withdrawals. Same thing. But I think the writing and musicality of Tyler's song is Much better. It digs deeper, drives harder and he really is pushing his vocal. This will probably go to #1.
Ugh.

And so it starts today, as predicted:
Sony Music Nashville @sonynashville · 43s43 seconds ago Congratulations @tylerfarr on your #1 single #AGuyWalksIntoABar! So excited for release of new single #Withdrawals!
They are not going to take any to promote Casey.
