In terms of the timeline for releasing his first single and album, it could be that the label is using the same approach for Casey as they did for The Band Perry and Thompson Square. It seems like they are methodically introducing him to fans and cultivating him in a way that they do with non-Idol artists. They are partnering him with top-notch writers, and he is putting our great songs. I think all of these things are good signs.

The buttom line is that Sony Nashville is investing on Casey by sending him writing with top-notch songwriters & musicians & providing the exposure along with his management ! that's very important to have a supporting label & good management! & getting a solid album out for new artists & choosing the right single ( like Dierks Bentley's debut single which went for #1 , ... ) is very important , great they're focusing on that! Also , the thing is that Sony Nashville has a great record with treating artists from "talents shows" & building them like new artists with Miranda Lambert & Chris Young . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shameless Plug : If you think for moments , you'll find 3 things similar between Miranda & Casey :- 1) They're both from FW , Tx . 2) They're both didn't win , & ended up as 3rd place finisher on their shows . 3) They both have written / co-written their debut albums . COOL! huh?

I forgot to say something about BNA Records . BNA Records is a stand-alone label , doesn't have any ties with NY or L.A. , unlike its sisters labels under Sony Nashville ( Columbia , Columbia Nashville ; Arista , Arista Nashville ; RCA , RCA Nashville ) . It's actually an independent label founded by producer Boomer Castleman on 1991 & then sold it to BMG Music ( Music label of RCA/Jive & their Country labels , RCA/Arista Nashville ) on 1993 , & then became part of Sony Nashville when Sony Music ( Columbia/Epic ) bought BMG on 2004 & formed what is known now as Sony Music Entertainment . Their first success was with Kenny Chesney 1995 , & he is still with them after 16 years! They also has cross-over success with Lonestar .

^^^WoW! That says something that Kenny Chesney has been with them so long. That's loyalty and dedication to the artist and vice versa. No wonder Casey felt so good about going with them!

So apparently he said so sweet or lets dont call it a night could be the first single. Is that right. That means I think we are getting closer. Yeah. I prefer so sweet only because I like the emotion he brings to the song for me.

I think they both falls into the same category! MID-Tempos , so I won't mind either one! they fit any radio season . so they'll be perfect! curious to hear them with production! also would love to know the writing credit of LDCIAN !

I think so sweet is a little better lyrically and has a little more heft emotionally while Lets dont call it a night is a fun love song. Will be happy with either one but I just love So Sweet.

What happened to While My Guitar, I just loved that one...between So Sweet and LDCIAN, I prefer the former. Agree with Bigmjfan, it has more "heft," more substance than the latter; but love them all. Seriously, can't think of one that I don't like, just differences between them being acoustic/electric, love song/honky tonk, etc., that differentiates them from one another:)

To think almost six months ago I was worried about not liking Caseys music. I wanted so bad for it to be good. He has exceeded my expectations.
